No post on UGA's softball performance this weekend? Baseball? How about the womens golf tournament in North Carolina against a star studded field?

Congrats on the win against Stanford though.

6 of the top 9 ranked SEC men's teams are SEC-East teams, and 5 of the top 8 ranked women's teams as well. Considering that the East is handicapped with one member not having tennis programs, that's pretty dominant yo.......

Hey umm...don't call tennis matches "meets"

They are matches.

UGa is loaded this year. I might say, however, that Ole Miss has the potential to be the best team in the SEC. The Rebels this year are very strange. Scalding hot or ice cold.

They got drummed (I was there, 4-2 was nice) by MSU in Jackson. Then they looked abysmal vs. UGa in Seattle, then proceeded to turn around and beat both UT and MSU with ease.

They came back home on a roll and beat UGa and UT, but then lost to Vanderbilt and LSU. This team has tons of potential, but they are up and down.

I think UGa is the best team in the SEC, however. And I cannot wait for the SEC Championships in Oxford in a couple weeks.

Also, screw Missouri

So Ole Miss with a 6-3 SEC record = 2nd best?

They don't have a tennis program

We dominate men's tennis in the SEC. and our women's is always top 5 in the country.

This is what holds Ole Miss down. Our men are always good and IMO we are the one team year and year that is able to give UGA a run for their money. But our womenz just don't hold up compared to our guys and in the end are always our down fall.

Very true. It seems like Kentucky has been doing very well lately also.

I'm surprised Bama has been as competitive as they are this season.

I know both have really gotten their shite together.

I remember watching Isner single handedly beat OM at our place ... it was bad.

Hopefully we can both make noise nationally and whip 'Merica's arse.

Congrats to UGA for their win in College Station. Close fought match...the multiple rain delays were distracting, I'm sure. Guess that means A&M needs to pony up and build an indoor facility! Howard Joffe has done a hell of a job, though!

If A&M can beat Alabama, there might be a three-way tie for the SEC championship.

On the men's side (congrats there too, although I'm pretty sure everyone thought UGA would win that one), it seems the A&M players are great one day, not so much the next. There are a few freshman, so I think Steve Denton will have a good bunch for a while.

East is definitely stronger of the two divisions; however, the SEC is still lacking a true national title contender this year. Going to be hard for anyone other than USC, UVa, tOSU, Duke, UCLA to have a fair shot at winning the title this year.
