As a black person, this is embarrassing, but even more so, as a Believer, this absolutely breaks my heart...I do not understand how something so innocent and precious can be taken away due to someone else's evil heart...they deserve to be tortured in prison until their flesh rots away and anus is gaping with sores...

I've thought about that, as well, however, at this point, that is completely irrelevant, justice must be swift and harsh in this case. I would pray the same thing be the case if races were in fact reversed. I think it would play itself out pretty much the same way the perp in the Sandy Hook killings was vilified

Commissioner Brooks wishes to apologize for his interference with the murder investigation of Antonio Santiago. He, Along with several others in the community, had been duped by Karimah Elkins and Sabrina Elkins into believing their alibi story for Mr. De'Marquise Elkins. It was his honest belief at the time that he was trying to protect the rights of his constituents by advising them to remain silent and not make any additional statements to the police without having a lawyer present. Unfortunately, he learned later that the Elkins' were not being truthful with the police when they made statements about Mr. Elkins' whereabouts during the time of the shooting.Commissioner Brooks was completely unaware that Karimah Elkins and Sabrina Elkins had disposed of the alleged murder weapon and were lying to the investigators about their involvement in the cover up and alibi defenses for Mr. Elkins.According to Tucker, Commissioner Brooks turned himself into police yesterday. Commissioner Brooks was also indicted yesterday for one racketeering charge and five other counts.

I've read that Elkins isn't eligible to face the death penalty due to his age,17. This little son of a bitch deserves to die,plain n simple.If you truly care about justice for the deceased child,email your state Rep. and demand that this bullshite law be amended to help assure this miscarriage of justice is squashed.Don't allow Elkins to escape justice by doing nothing.

Let's let the investigation play out to its finish, and the courts do their job before declaring the accused guilty.
