I was out of town for the weekend, so I don't know if this has been discussed, but here are some changes I've noticed in the new roster:
Dakota Ball: from 6'2, 295 to 6'2, 270
Landon Collins: from 6', 202 to 6', 215
LaMichael Fanning: from 6'7, 298 to 6'7, 270
Cade Foster: from 6'1, 218 to 6'1, 224
Jalston Fowler: from 6'1, 242 to 6'1, 250
Brandon Greene: 6'5, 292 to 6'5, 307
Korren Kirven: 6'5, 292 to 6'5, 281
Darren Lake: 6'3, 315 to 6'3, 324
Chad Lindsay: 6'2, 290 to 6'2, 302
Reggie Ragland: 6'2, 247 to 6'2, 259
Blake Sims: 6', 212 to 6', 202
Ed Stinson: 6'4, 282 to 6'4 292
Dalvin Tomlinson: 6'2, 266 to 6'2, 287
Spring Roster
Interesting that Ball, Kirven, and Fanning all dropped 10+ lbs. Ball and Kirven did have some bad weight though.
Ragland and Tomlinson both got swole. Looking for them both to have big springs.

A lot of positive reports on Dalvin. Not much on KK

KK's weight really set him back, his only positive to date is that he lost that bad weight.
I'm interested in the LaMichael Fanning development, no denying he wasn't an Adonis at 298 already. Could be he wanted to get faster for subpackages, or even potentially a switch to OLB or TE. His athleticism has always been talked about, he has just not lived up to his yearly camp hype.

Yeah, I'm really excited to see Ragland in action.

Is Reggie the next Upshaw? Seem to have similar size.

Ive heard he is a clone of Upshaw. I hope so. We need a pass rusher.

I think RR is pushing DePriest for an ILB spot. Don't know if pass rushing is part of the plan for him

Anybody else notice Dee Milliner on the roster?

I think Upshaw played at 265-270, so he's just about there.

There was some stuff going around that 2 returning starters have caught the ire of Saban. He has told them if they don't change, they won't be starters anymore. He's told them their attitude and work ethic are detrimental to the team.
I'm almost certain one was in the LB corp, not that many starters returning otherwise...

Ragland will play inside so you cant really compare him to Upshaw. I think a lot of the guys lost weight due to all the running in the 4th quarter program. It will be interesting to see who adds it back on.

Yeah I'm fairly certain that it isn't Trey. Everything we heard before indicated that he wasn't the type of guy to get into trouble with Saban. People change, but it's probably not Trey.

AJ McCarron
Amari Cooper
Kevin Norwood
Cyrus Kouandjio
Anthony Steen
Ed Stinson
Adrian Hubbard
Xzavier Dickson
Trey DePriest
Deion Belue
Hasean Clinton-Dix
Cody Mandell
I'll take the odds of one of the two being there since most of the LB corp is returning. This is something Saban said at the Glazier 150 clinic in Atlanta recently...

Hey don't forget Cade Foster.
I'm sure it could be Trey, I just don't see it. I imagine it's hard to tell from the reports I've seen, but Trey is probably still going with CJ first in all of the drills, isn't he? Of course it's a long ways to 8/31.

Cade has a lack of talent, but not of work ethic.

They'd likely still be starters opening camp, but it's a lack of change that would eventually sink them.
I'm not sure it's DePriest myself, but another LB and a WR IMO. It's gonna be refuted for almost everyone who is a returning starter(because they were NC starters), but it boils down to Saban was referring to 2 of them.

I don't believe for second that Fanning sniffed 300 last year.
