How is Auburn doing in recruiting for the SEC major sports?

I ask because they are seriously bringing down the conference, along with Missouri. I hope they get more competitive for two reasons: one is to take players away from Bama, and the second is so the West remains a complete force top to bottom (and at least gets competitive in basketball).

Auburn's SEC records for the past season:

0-8 Football
2-14 Basketball
0-6 Baseball

Auburn has become the bottom dweller of the SEC. Seriously Auburn, step your shite up. Vandy is doing better than you in all 3 sports.

I personally enjoy seeing them competitive from a rivalry standpoint. But I wasn't too disappointed with the outcome they had in football this year. Made for a very entertaining year.

baseball is an unfair advantage as long as there's no lottery in Alabama.

This...neither school has put together a truly competitive club in a good while. AU had a lot of success in the late 90s because kids wanted to play for Hal Baird. Its not a competitive playing field when we have to give partial scholarships/academic scholarships.

These are the times that separate real AU supporters from the weak-willed. When success comes it's be that much better.

But it's gotta suck right now, for sure.

20-30 years ago I would have been in a deep, dark depression.

As I got much older, I slowly learned it just ain't worth that much emotional investment. I can still enjoy the successes just as much without wanting to commit suicide over the failures (and they're coming fast and furious the past couple of years ).

But being my age I know this: Auburn goes through its down-curves but they RARELY last very long, especially in the modern age. Oh, except in basketball. We stink on ice in basketball.

Plus it's gotta be much worse for an AU fan if they actually live/work in Alabama. Being surrounded by 'them'. Lived in Mobile for a long time and understand the 24/7/365 deal that probably doesn't exist anywhere else.

One year we finish last and we're a bottom dweller? Don't buy it. And its funny how Ole Miss has a good recruiting class and a tourney team for once and they are tlking so much shite like this has erased their history as one of the worst programs in the SEC. Auburn and Ole Miss will return to their respectful places in the SEC very soon, so live up your one year of semi-success while u can. Y'all are and will always be Ole Miss.

I love those kind of responses.

Nothing warms my heart more that seeing someone tell me to run off to an ACC board

OM and State do just fine without a lottery. That's just an excuse to not put money into the baseball program.

Football-recruited pretty well
Basketball-recruited ok, but had trouble keeping some of the recruits on campus
Baseball-no clue

We will be back in football in the next year or two. Not sure how long it might take for basketball and baseball.
