Is anyone more open than English?

Just listened to an interview with Kim English on the way in. I'm not sure I've listened to anyone talk more openly, yet in a respectful way. Doesn't give any of the non-answer answers.
He hit on a wide variety of topics, but off the top of my head, said Henderson is an average to below average player who would have hardly been heard from if it wasn't for his, as English put it, disrespect for the game. Says he has no problem with him playing that way, but would have loved to play against him at the same time because beating them is the best way to shut them up.
On MU vs. SLU, said that while he respects Majerus, Majerus was just wrong when he said MU wouldn't call SLU back. He was in the office when it was being discussed on the phone with SLU. Said he has no problem with playing SLU in a home and home, though he realizes SLU would have a lot more to gain.
Said he still plans to play 9 more years and 13 games in the NBA and would still like to coach (though NBA front office positions now intrigue him too) and that there's only one university he'd want to coach at.
Talked about his dislike for MA. If MA would have stayed, he would have left. Said the only person that really was torn about MA leaving was Bowers, who had developed a closer relationship with MA. Said his problems with MA dealt with both personal issues as well as his coaching or lack of it.
Not a ton of new stuff, but really is refreshing listening to someone who is articulate and willing to speak their mind but able to do it in a respectful manner.
ETA - He also talked about the Haith - MA altercation in the last game. Said it was directly about MA's comment on giving Pressey that shot all night long, though that may have helped lead to the build up. Kim said after Ross was fouled, Haith got pissed about the foul, looking out for his players, and jumped out on the Court hollering and fist pumping. MA told him to sit down and simmer down. With that Haith let MA have it and told him to worry about his team and he'll coach his, along with a few choice words I assume.

Thanks for the info. I miss hearing Kim speak.
I really like what was said about Henderson. Being old, I am old school about respect for the game which means respect for the players. Henderson thinks mostly of himself and just has that look at me attitude. Kim is right, beating him is the best way to shut him up. I really hated losing that game and that is one reason why it was such a hard loss. Henderson will get his arse kicked in the NBA if he makes it that far.
That was really good stuff about MA. Once a pig always a pig.

Personally I see Henderson like Reggie Miller. He wants you to hate him. So if you really dont like him, why give him the attention that he wants? I have no problem with players that talk shite. Its just that in that same light, you had better back it up.

English says he'll end up in Europe or D League.

Kim English is dating a Southeast Missouri girl!! Add great taste to the lists of things I like about him!

It's simple, Hendersons a punk. He's had a troubled youth and he's cocky beyond reason. One of these days he'll run across the wrong fans and he'll get his. It pissed me off that ESPN gave him any face time on TV before the game against Mizzou.
Kim is the exact opposite. Love Kimmy. Great player, great person. I don't even like talking about the two in the same thread.

Or he has a personality disorder.

Kim has to be the best ambassador for the school that I can remember. He watches and discusses every game still, and shows a lot of love for MU. I imagine he would be a phenomenal recruiter here someday with how well he talks and relates to people, his passion for the school, and his NBA experience by then. Love hearing this!
and it is very telling for someone as passionate and hard working as Kim to talk negatively of MA. I appreciate MA for what he did but really shows his lack of effort and lack of class he had late in his time here. No way that team shoulda lost 5 of 6 and got trounced by Cincy first round like we did. Feel bad for the kids on that team, especially seniors.

Apparently the interviewed Lawrence too. I didn't hear that one. But both Kim and Lawrence were also saying that Pressey shouldn't be shooting the 3. Nothing surprising there, other than again the openness that they speak with. So typically someone being interviewed will simply dodge that question. They weren't dogging Pressey by any means. Apparently talked about him in glowing terms but said that if something doesn't work 3 times, then it's time to change the play book and call an audible.

Nahh, he's just a punk, thats all. No other excuse or reason really.

Just to clarify, a personality disorder isn't a disease. For example, narcissism is a personality disorder. I think he's a punk with a personality disorder.
