Because Rupp is being used for the real tournament and UK didn't put in a bid to host. We will play in Rupp sunday if they win tonight.

I thought when UK hosted the NIT a few yrs ago, I thought they used another venue in LEX, no?

They did but it was the state tournament in Rupp. Easier to work around.

They did, but there is staffing issues. Last time, the HS State tourney was there and is only fully staffed for finals. They didn't have enough staff to make sure both places had enough people. Oh and that other venue is MEMORIAL COLISEUM.
