Let's start at the beginning.

Track and Field is a man's sport that has been testing the manhood of individuals since Ancient Greece. The ultimate showcase of athletic dominance and overall power was for a city-state to win these meets.

Nowadays, billions of people around the world to tune in to see these fantastic displays of athleticism in hopes their team's representatives bring them glory by performing well. Men and women from over 100 countries train vigorously for years for one shot at glory in these prestigious Track and Field meets.

Football is a sport that no one outside of the U.S. gives a rat's arse about. So I ask this question, is 24 football championships REALLY more impressive than 43 T&F championships?

Canada sort of cares when Hockey isn't being played, but they had to modify the rules to make the game exciting for them.

Track is the same all around the world.

nobody cares about Track And Field. That is why Arkansas is the only school that even recruits for the sport. They do it, b/c it is the only thing they can win. Kudos to their AD

Following the sign < making plays.

Don't football players run track as exercise? A way to stay in shape and work on speed for the real sport.

Just because the thread got the anchor where you tried this flame, doesn't necessitate that you start an entire new one.

It should have died there.

"Are you coming over to my house to watch the college track and field event on Saturday?"

Said no one ever.

recruits for the sport.
Funny you should bring that up. Recruiting for Track and Field doesn't stop in the U.S. Often times recruits completely leave their countries to come compete in the United States. I don't see many worldwide athletes preparing themselves to play football in the U.S.
