On another site, some ACC fans interpreted this poll >(LINK ) as meaning the ACC is a stronger baseball conference than the SEC.
EXAMPLE. LINK
Facts below, Thoughts on conference comaparison??
ACC-
1. North Carolina (14-0),
7. Florida St. (15-0),
11. Georgia Tech.,
12. Virginia (14-1),
17. N.C. State (12-4)
26. Clemson (9-5),
29.Miami, Fla. (13-4) = 7
SEC-
3. Louisiana St. (15-1)
4. Vanderbilt (15-2)
5. South Carolina (13-2)
6. Mississippi (16-1
8. Mississippi St. (17-2)
9. Kentucky (13-2)
22. Arkansas (11-5)
Both have 7 of top 30, SEC 7 of top 25 and 6 of top ten.
SEC avg ranking 6.86
ACC avg ranking 14.70
ACC is a great confrence but to say this poll shows it as better than the SEC is far fetched

New members Pitt and Syracuse will not help with baseball.

OM is 18-1
And SC is 15-2. The poll comes out after the weekend series so this weeks mid week games are not included until next week polls. Congrats though

SEC is alot deeper and will have alot more success in the postseason as usual.

What is the ACC vs SEC record so far? I know we took 2/3 from Clemson and UF took 2/3 from Miami but dropped one to FSU. Not sure who else has played?

Looks like Arkansas has been on the decline since their pre-season championship.

LSU beat Maryland 2 games to 0.

But fsu beat florida so that counts double..carry the one..ignore the remainder and ACC>SEC

All these polls really do not matter, as we tried explaining to the piggies in the preseason.
It's all about staying solid all season, positioning yourself to host in the post season, getting hot right about then and making a run to Omaha, and then getting hot all over again against the hottest teams in the country.
The odds are really never in a program's favor and it makes LSU's 6-0 dominance in Omaha, and SC's incredible three year consecutive post-season games winning streak, even all the more remarkable in modern history against modern programs.
Also, the ACC will find a way to tank and fold. They have not won it all since 1951 and that is a record in futility. Just think, Mizzou has won a baseball national championship since the last time the ACC (Wake Forest) won one.
BTW, Billy Ray Barnes is a good friend of mine.

USC beat clemson with two shutouts (one at clemson's own field )in this year's series...they are not equal and it's not even close.
We have 6 teams in the top 10, that is all that needs to be said about that.

There are 12 teams in the top 10?

I actually kind of like GaTech and UVa. Miami, FSU, and Clemson can all eat a dick. It is pretty fitting that Clemson is in the ACC though, because the ACC is the Clemson of college baseball conferences.

I thought you put together the records and such.
Either way though
