Is UGA going to be the mirror image of Alabama

next year?
Last year people (outside of Bama fans) were writing of Alabama to be able to repeat as National Champions because of what they lost on defense. However, Alabama returned their 3 All-American offensive linemen and their young guys on D stepped up all season and played well when they needed to to be able to beat UGA in Atlanta on the last play.
UGA, like Alabama lost most of their defense, but return 9 guys with starting experience 11 with significant playing time and had 11 early enrollees on the defensive side of the ball. The Dawgs also return all 5 offensive linemen from last years 12 win team. We all know about Gurshall, but we also return everyone but TKing and Marlon who was out last year in October with an ACL injury anyway. Mitchell is probably the most talented WO in the league and Murray will have his go to receiver (Bennett) back from a knee injury as well.
Is it finally UGA's time to bring home the Crystal Football and continue the SEC streak?

UGA will regress next year. 2012 was their chance, they just couldn't get it done in ATL.

Short answer, no.
Eta: and prepare for the next few pages of "lololol omg georgia yeah right!"

Lots of people picked Bama to repeat, and by week one, virtually EVERYONE was picking Bama

On defense, possible. However, UGA will have the best offense in the SEC and could simply outscore everyone. We get USC and LSU at home. Other than the Cocktail Party (like every year) it's setup up perfectly to make a run again.

I'm talking about the college football Nation, not the SEC Ranters.

I don't think I am going to like where this thread ends up.

UGA got raped by Spurrier as usual and is owned by UF. That was the 2 good teams they played.
They can still have a solid team and contend for the East.

Is it so hard to have a civil debate of opinions without my own fan base feeding the trolls to come post?
This place is pretty pathetic. What a waste too. Tons of traffic

Hang on, lemme get this right:
Team A: Coming off a season that saw a loss to Boise State, a beatdown by LSU in the championship game, and an epic chokejob against Michigan State in the Outback Bowl. Two years after losses to Colorado and UCF on the way to a 6-7 season
Team B: Coming off their second national championship in three years, have the best coach in college football, and reeled off yet another #1 recruiting class
And you honestly believe that people outside the South gave a shite about Georgia?

You have missed the most important thing, Bama has Nick Saban and UGA has Mark Richt.

We did get raped by Spurrier. No denying that, however, we own the Gators, hombre.
Contending for the East is all it takes... Correct? And if i'm not mistaken we have won the East twice in a row and are favorites to repeat for a third straight year.

Yeah, because Saban and CMR play for the Tide and Dawgs respectively.
