Honest question, what will you avoid with your car?

I will stop/dodge a frog, I will speed up for a possum.

I've paid out the wazoo for a fricking deer stepping in front of my truck, but I had no choice in the matter.

What's your standard? Where do say "watch this!" verses "oh sh&%".

And what's your most WTF animal comitting suicide story?

A person is the only thing I'll risk dodging for. I'll slow down/stop for anything bigger than a dog. That's about it.

Try to avoid squirrels, but love to shoot them. I know this doesn't make sense.

I respect animals and their lives, we're all sharing this earth but for a short time. Why kill an animal that's just crossing the road?

I speed up for losers in their spandex riding their bikes. 5 points if you run them off the road. 10 if they fall off their bike. 15 if you hit them.

I'm only swerving for a human being.

If I can't stop in time, I'm hitting the animal.

I was driving home one night and an owl flew directly into the grill of my truck.

My friend in the back made me lose it.

"Owl said o rly? Truck said YA RLY"

Funnier out loud but figured I'd share anyways.

Hitch hikers are fair game. I try to avoid all other living things if I can reasonably do so

I always try to hit dogs that chase cars. We've got a leash law so when the jackass won't obey it and control his mut I'll have a field day.

I'll run over a possum, I'll swerve to miss a moose.

I'm not swerving for anything other than a human. I'll hit the brakes for pretty much any domesticated animals and deer.

On our Montana trip last year, we had a mule deer jump in front of my dad's navigator. hit the brakes, way too late though. Busted up the navigator pretty bad. Luckily it was only a mile from the house we had rented.

I was always taught that if an animal runs out in the road in front of you not to swerve but to slow down (unless it's a deer then don't slow down and steer to the rear) and try to avoid it but to not swerve because chances are you can run off the road and frick yourself up over some little animal.

No swerving here. Seen too many cars wrapped around trees and power poles in my lifetime. Rather take the chance with the animal. Plus since I eat meat, it'd be hypocritical of me to go to such great lengths to save them on the road.
