Spinoff - If you could go back in time and move your university, where to?

Why?
I think the University of Arkansas could have made a unique urban campus in the Heights or Hillcrest area of Little Rock. I think the current location is pretty great, though, as far as scenery, etc.
In Little Rock, Arkansas would have grown sooner and be a larger university. It likely would have been better funded earlier in its existence, too.

Little Rock would have been a much more fitting home to the state's flagship university, IMO, as it is much more representative of the state as a whole than Fayetteville.

that's a cool idea. I would put it where Country Club of LR is at. Cool views of downtown and the river in both directions(mountains along river to the west).

If LSU would have continued the LSU Lakes to the north side of campus that may have made for a better campus environment.
But the location is perfect.

I think we're probably pretty okay considering the way the population is spread out. Just 125 miles to both population centers in STL and KC is about as perfect as you get. Plus, Columbia's a good mix between the two, and is a pretty nice area of the state, landscape-wise.
If anything, I'd move the two cities closer rather than moving the university.
Would help out with the early football and basketball games.

Since our university literally sprung up around the "college" train stop/station that came through this part of Texas, we had no choice in the matter.
I think the B/CS locale is ideal. We're pretty centrally triangulated between Houston, Dallas, and Austin. And since most of us grew up in some of the largest cities in the country, it's fun to experience the charm of a smallish college town that's still very accessible to multiple large cities.
Now would I love B/CS to have a cooler climate? Hell yeah. But in Texas, that would mean the panhandle and the likes of Lubbock; so I'm willing to deal with our heat & humidity.

Could you imagine the combined student size and wealth of a merged UT-Austin/A&M? And if the people of Texas had kept the Medical Branch in Austin as well (rather than Galveston)?

As you all have mentioned, since UGA is so pathetic at recruiting its own state it should move to Tennessee where there are no football recruits to miss on.
