:( I say a win at mizzou and Kentucky will put us in and thats it...

Yea, Ole Miss has to beat Mizzou and Kentucky. If they do that, they'll probably get in. That could put Kentucky in jeopardy depending on what else happens around the country. Alabama probably has to win the SECt, but at the very least beat Tennessee and Florida. That would keep Tennessee out. It's looking like 3 teams will be the number for the SEC, four if everything bounces right.

I feel like often when teams win they move further down the pecking order and when teams lose they move further up the pecking order. At least that's the way it has seemed the last couple of weeks.

Yea but I like our chances against Kentucky without Noel's having like 12 blocks I say we win.... Mizzou on the other hand don't hve much faith against them

Teams that need to win SEC tournament: Alabama, Ole Miss
Teams that need a good showing in Nashville: Tennessee, Kentucky (who I think is in regardless due to the tickets they would sell)
Locks: Florida, Missouri
I see Florida, Kentucky, and Missouri getting in. It will be an interesting tournament, I think. I'll take the field vs. Florida to win

Tennessee was ahead of UVA going into the weekend.
Tennessee beats Mizzou at home.
UVA beats Maryland at home in OT.
UVA passes Tennessee.
Ok, Joe.

UVA beat Tennessee head to head, didn't they?

In early December, not that h2h really matters that much. As I said, Tennessee was AHEAD of UVA before the games this weekend. Tennessee gets a much better win than UVA and UVA passes us?

This reminds me of 2011 when Alabama beat Georgia twice but Georgia was still the one who got in.

UT was beaten by OM twice and UT is still in front.
I'll just say the NCAA selection committee hates the sec

UT is in unless we lose the first SECT game by 30

I don't know how you could be so sure of that. Especially if you lose on Thursday. Bubble bids are going to start disappearing as upsets happen in conference tournaments, and other bubble teams will make deep runs in their tournaments. Tennessee is barely in now, they can't afford a bad loss. They may not be able to afford a meaningless win Thursday and a loss Friday.

I don't think conf. tournament results (other than winning the tourney) matter as much as people think. IMO, the bigger concern for "bubble teams" are highly regarded mid-major reg season champs losing in their conf. tournament (see Mid Tenn. St.) In recent years, it seems that the committee has placed more of an emphasis on taking very good mid-majors who don't get the auto bid, over middle of the pack big conf teams. Alabama, Ole Miss, UT have to be praying that all the mid-major favs win the auto bids this week.

Everyone on the fricking bubble has beaten TN head-to-head. I'll never understand this shite.

I'd agree with that, I just had a little rambling on the Alabama board about conference tournaments not having as big of a pull as some think because the committee typically has their field set by Saturday afternoon (pending championship games of course). For a team like Alabama who has a good bit of work to do, I think we have to win the SECt. For teams like Tennessee, Kentucky, or even Ole Miss that have a little less to do then a win or two early can solidify a spot. It's all fluid though, as you said, pending other tournament games throughout the country.

It's not hard to understand, it's actually very simple. Head to head doesn't really matter. They aren't comparing just UVA to Tennessee for instance. They're looking at total resumes and taking the best ones. Perhaps if there is only one spot left, and it's between UVA and UT they'd take a look at the head to head result.
