I know we should be in the tourney, but ask Star Warrior Killz about Mizzou's history of having anything bad that can happen, actually happen. I don't want to give the selection committee any reason to leave Mizzou out so we better win a couple more in the tourney.

If it were me, as much as I'd like to win the SEC tourney, I think I'd prefer we win 2 then lose and then win 3-4 in the tourney. I just don't think this team can put together 8-10 wins in a row to win the SEC tourney AND go relatively deep in the tourney.

Thoughts? Would you prefer to win the SECt and lose 1st or 2nd round in the tourney or lose in semis of SECt and get to the Elite 8 or better?

I have no doubt at all they could string together eight plus w's in a row. I also realize that sooner or later a game will come down to the wire and Flop Pressey will kick us right square in the beanbag.
Our season is over.

I'd rather lose in the semis and make a run at the dance. But you're right, we better win at least one, preferably 2.

Personally, I would rather win both tournaments. None of this, either, or stuff. Oriaki and UConn did it. Why can't we?

And I also think Pressey is going to make a shot to win a game for us. After all, he can't go 0 forever, can he? I think he is just saving it for the NC game.

Phil Pressey for the win. SPLASH!!!!!!

Ha i'm with you SWMissouriTiger, he has got to be about due for one right? I actually feel good about the tourney if we can get up to the 7 seed or down to a 10 seed. I'm really nervous about us being in that 8-9 matchup and have to knock off a 1 seed to get to the second week of the tourney.

As far as the SEC tourney we need a good showing to prove that our struggles are on the road, not on a neutral site. I really wanna beat the aggies and ole Miss at least. Gotta avenge losses from both those teams, although the rebels have played very well the last 2 games. Playing the night before might help us tho, a lot of experts say its an advantage for the team who won the night before in that day 2 matchup with a team who hasn't played in a week.

I want to take home some hardware. If we can win the SECt, I want that. Teams who win conference tourneys have a good record in the NCAAt.

I hear ya. Part of me wants that SECt hardware for the respect factor. I hope I'm wrong, I just don't see this team putting together a streak of 8 games in a row together against quality opponents. Just haven't shown the consistency yet this year. Beyond Pressey's being Pressey in the UT game, I just didn't think the team played very enthused for what was on the line. Outrebounded should tell you enough about the energy level and intensity in that game.

I'm starting to think the team read this post and lost today on purpose because they know putting together 8-10 wins would be difficult, so win 1 in the SECt, lose, rest, prepare, and go on that winning streak in the NCAAt. That would explain throwing away a double digit lead.
