I'll admit it. At points in the season, I didn't think there was a chance. Pre-season I thought in the top 3-4. Figured UK and UF would be good and we'd be in the mix. Then the inconsistent play and figured, just finish in the top half. A UK loss to UF and and MU win at UT and I'm pretty sure we finish 2nd in the SEC. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the tie breakers in the event Ole Miss and Bama win too.

I think you're right - if we win Saturday, we're in a 2-way tie with Kentucky for 2nd. If we win and Kentucky loses, we're 2nd outright. I think.

I dont think UK is beating UF on Saturday. #2 is ours to lose.

Yeah, if I was forced to bet the game, I'd go with UF. Question is who would I lay money on in MU/UT

Hi, I'm new. Someone on RockMNation was nice enough to make a spreadsheet of all the possibilities. https://i.imgur.com/9g4dvVo.png

If Mizzou wins, they likely finish 2nd, but a loss likely drops them to 6th.

Hard to say. Thats why alot of media thinks of Mizzou as so dangerous in the tourny. They are unpredictable. One game the hammer someone, the next they lose by two points when it should have been a blowout.

I think this game is huge. Bigger than the Arky game really. This game will tell us if they are a legit tourny team or not. Its on the road against a solid team that may go to the tourny itself.

Our tourny run starts Saturday really.

The TN game will be a big tell on where they are.

To me they look like a team about to go on a long run. The SEC tourney is going to be fun for us since it's a first. Here's hoping the Tigers win the thing! That would be a great start.

Go Tigers!

Wow! If we had taken care of business in some earlier road games, and not been screwed by the refs in a couple others, this game wouldn't be so important. This will be a very tough game to win on Saturday. Tennessee is playing as well as anyone right now. Good luck to the Tigers!!!

You're right about UT playing as well as anyone right now. A lot of that is based off of McRae averaging 28 ppg in the last half dozen games or so. I feel confident that Bell will be able to hold him closer to his season average of 16 ppg, which could create problems for UT scoring.

You can slow this guy down with using alot of your shot clock also. Bell is a good defender as you said, but no matter what he does, if we can have multiple players score into double figure, he would be eliminated from making any difference. He would be like BJ Young last game.

I have a good feeling about this game and team. They as well as Haith are showing signs of sound playing and coaching. It's about the right time to start to ascend and then peak out during the big dance.

I think this is going to be a tough game. Both teams have something to prove. We need to put Bell on MacRae, like was said, and probably AO/Bowers on Stokes. Hope Brown gets hot. And pray Flip has a good day.
