Considering at this point Arky is the 3rd or 4th best athletic program in the SEC, they are the answer

In the only 3 sports that matter (only two matter in my opinion but I know the SEC likes college baseball for whatever reason):

Football-Arkansas
Basketball-Missouri
Baseball-Arkansas (don't care)

Something not being taken into consideration.

Missouri has better HS athletes and 2 major cities that are finally catching the youth football bug. Its a highly underrated recruiting area right now, and it's going to greatly improve.

Kids are growing up with a decent Mizzou program now, instead of a terrible one, will also make a difference.

If this is true, do Mizzou fans think they have more potential than Arkansas? I mean DGB speaks for itself, so they might be on to something. Do y'all recruit in the midwest and Ohio at all? What about Chicago? Can y'all be the gateway to the SEC for midwest kids, or do they just not like y'all? Arkansas has shown potential, but even when they seem to be really good, it is clear that there are other teams out there that are simply just better. I don't know if they will ever beat Saban at Alabama.

Problem is that the midwest kids suck compared to kids from states like Texas, LA, MS, GA, FL, AL, etc. That's why schools like Notre Dame, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio St usually lose when they play SEC schools. I know the Big Ten have success in bowls like the Outback Bowl, etc. But the Major BCS games their best get smoked by the SEC's best.

That is like debating if the Lions or the Cardinals will be a better football team in 20 years. Both are year in and year out competing for the basement of the league

WTF?? Arkansas done good in the SEC. They just can't win the SEC Championship in football, but at least they've made it to ATL and been a top 10 team.

ETA: What messed Arkansas up this year is losing their coach.

Don't buy it. Plenty of Midwest kids playing in the NFL (well over 200 B1G players on NFL rosters last year). The SEC is a dominant league, obviously. But football talent is not exclusive to the Southeast region.

So do you think you have a better talent pool than Arkansas?

I agree with this. Football is really beginning to take hold where I live (KC Metro area). Pop Warner is some serious bidness.

I can see Mizzou improving significantly, but I still see the majority of the exceptional players recruited out to other schools. I'm not saying specifically to Arkansas, but I'm sure we'll try and till these grounds as well.

But will you be more successful than any of Mizzou's other neighbors? Exclugin anomalies, for the most part, year in and year out Oklahoma, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Iowa should all have better Missouri recruits than Arky, imo.

If Mizzou were in the Big 12, I would agree. I'd imagine the really good athletes would want to play in the SEC

Arky had 20 years and done absolutely nothing*. Lets give this the Mizz based on simple fact no institution could fail as much as the hogs have over a 20 year period.

*1994 was an anomaly with players from the SWAC.

I mean Mizzou has a much longer conference championship drought than that, but I get your point.

WTF? I know they haven't won a national title but they've at least been to a BCS Bowl, won the SEC West in Football 2-3 times, Final 4's, CWS, dominated in track. Arkansas is not as bad as people think considering the location of Fayetteville in the state. They've brought in some talent to NWA.
