You know what ATHLETICS DIRECTOR means, right? He's the director of all of Auburn's athletic teams. He hires and fires the coaches for these teams, and these teams suck.

The state of our athletics program 100% falls on Jacobs.

If you believe this then we should never fire another coach again. Because it was 100% Jacobs fault.

A lot of blame falls on Jacobs but not all of it. Some goes to Chizik, some goes to Barbee, some goes to the players. You can never put the blame solely on one person. One person can not make our athletics successful by themselves.

Look at Mal Moore before he hired Saban, he sucked. Just takes one hire.

My point exactly.

If Jacobs is 100% to blame, then, by definition, Chizik would be "better" under a different AD.

I get what you are saying here slam and it has nothing to do with supporting JJ to remain AD. Even if you get rid of JJ, there are still elements that remain that has and would again hamper an AD. That's not to say JJ would do any better were those hinderances gone, but they need to be removed.

We need a new AD that can stand on his own and has full control. Yet work well with admin, boosters, alumni, etc.

Yep. I'm not singing his praises or throwing all of the blame on him. There are too many problems in that department and its teams to pin it all on one guy.

Michael White 2nd season @La Tech. Took over a team that finished 12-20 2-14 in the WAC and his 1st season went 18-16 6-8 and is currently 26-3 16-0. Very good recruiter/coach combo. He is an Ole Miss grad and was an assistant there as well as at Jacksonville State. He is only 36 years old.

I trust marshall so I will say let's do this...

I will probably say yes to just about any BB coach brought before the board.

Barbee is getting another year. White is just a very good coach that would take the job if offered now. If he follows up this season with another good one he would probably hold out for a bigger offer.
