Just announced a top 5.

Florida, A&M, LSU, Auburn and USC.

Any of yall know the story on him?

Is he leaning anywhere? I was surprised that Bama wasn't in the top 5.

You have to remember. Some aren't wanted.

Florida.

He just isn't interested in Bama, not from the state and is close with former Vigor player Darius Philon. Someone also told him that he wouldn't get to rush the passer at OLB at Alabama, which is ludicrous.

That could be the case, but it isn't crazy to say that he's just not interested in Alabama. Magilla's post makes sense.

On a recruiting site? Off the top of my head, I have no clue, not that it would really matter where's he ranked now anyways... I do know that he's tall, lanky, and has plenty of room to add to his frame. He's got pretty good acceleration and really good straight line speed. He's raw but that's something that can be fixed with time. I would guess somewhere in the 4 star range.

I think he named Bama and FSU as leaders at some point and now they're both not in his top 5. Florida lean at the moment.

Wasn't Philon one of the near-NSD processed recruits that Saban sent packing? If he is friends with Philon, that could play a good part in his lack of interest in Bama

Philon was asked to greyshirt 1 to 2 weeks before NSD. He ultimately signed with Arkansas. He may have some hard feelings toward Bama but he's never stated anything publicly.

crying on NSD was probably more of a statement than an actual statement.

I think the fact that he was so emotional demonstrates how difficult of a decision it was for him to choose to sign with Arky over accepting the greyshirt offer from Bama. Maybe he is pissed at Bama, but I don't think you can conclude that from his presser.

You guys don't know the tip of the damn iceberg with Philon so don't go spouting off about being "processed"

He was asked to GS because of an injury and just had a MAJOR family crisis where he didn't feel safe staying in the Mobile area even for another 3 months, he had to get outta dodge

Him crying at his school on NSD had A LOT more to do with the compounding of what had happened in the past 2 weeks with regards to his personal family life than anything to do with Bama and Saban

Don't point fingers and act like you know

calm down, bro... don't get all emotional about Darius's situation. I'm sure his tears had very little to do with the disappointment of not being apart of Bama's NSD class.

at the end of the day, he's getting to play football and go to college for free... no one should feel bad for him

Again Mobile is a rough area he had a lot going on and absolutely had to get outta dodge

Saban wanted him to wait a couple months and rehab and he wouldn't

That is the bottom line, there was a lot more involved I won't get into but yes he was struggling at that presser at NSD but a lot more was going on with him than ppl realized
