I call bs... "well-being" as a phrase has such a wide spectrum of interpretation.
I would say that folks in the south (i always want to capitalize the S in south), have a MUCH higher level of "well-being." Why? Because the less you "want" the fuller your life has a potential to be in terms of things that matter more.
So, there. The south has the most well-being.

So is it bad to "want" food, shelter, and medicine?

This category also looked at whether residents believed they had enough money for food, shelter and medicine, a safe place to exercise and access to clean water. Mississippi ranked lowest here.
