I remember Elliot and Evan Berry being a big deal a few years ago. Are they Vol locks with Dooley gone, any updates.

If Tennessee hires Trooper, they are pretty much Vol locks. 50/50 right now but I have no inside info other then what I've read on different sites.

Not even really that good. Solid players, but nothing special

I would take them but their lore of being Berry family outweighed producrion and athleticism. Very close with Josh Holsley at AU and with our DBs about to be very big focal points in our D we stand a chance. Without Trooper though it ia hard to beleive that they dont end up at UTk unless Butch Jones is worse than John L Smith

They're not rated like they were hyped up to be. I haven't seen any tape though.
I'd say Tennessee or wherever Trooper winds up.

Big knock on UT was not offering Hosley despite having talent and connections. New staff means it isnt relevant. They should end up at UT

They were hyped to be top 10 players in this class. Are they even top 100?

Soo, your saying that the big knock on UT was not offering Holsey despite talent and connections and that they should end up at UT. I think we got it.

247 hasnt bothered to rank either one. Probably will have both as 3-stars

4-2-5 Safeties galore
I'm with you. Do y'all have the safety talent for that though? Seems like Auburn's issues have been at LB and secondary. Am I wrong there?

We had LB and DLine problems which caused the passing game for other teams to have all day to find the open man. While our secondary was inexperienced, our front seven put them in a worse situation.
We have the athletic talent on campus right now for DBs in the 4-2-5, it is just if they aren't Thug pieces of shite and get it done.
For cornerback, we have 3 guys who have all started and at times shown up. (Jonathan Mincey, Josh Holsey and Chris Davis) Holsey could be the only one who can be top notch but the others can be very solid contributors. Rising sophomores like Jonathan Jones also are known as hard hitters with speeed and agility. Just very raw at the moment
For safety, we have Jermaine Whitehead who if he plays more like he did freshman year, will be really good. Enrique Florence and Robenson Therezie are athletic freaks and going to hit some people in the mouth, again, they both have shown dedication problems. Finally, for our "Star" hybrid S/LB position, we have Justin Garrett who is a former LB and played safety in high school and brought in a JUCO player Brandon King who is 6'2 220 and runs a 4.4 40.
Talent is there to succeed in the secondary for the defense, just if Melvin Smith and Harbinson can develop (track record suggests they can) as well as if the players realize their shot at the league is slipping away and work their asses off

you don't lose 9 games and field one of the worst defenses in school history without a lot of problems everywhere... IMO, no position group outshined the others, especially on defense.
