If UA gets good play from some young NGs, watch out...

Alabama...

Then there's LSU, UF, USC, and even perhaps Vanderbilt in the mix for the next in line. Vandy's defense has been legit the past 2 seasons, and they return most of their starters (only lose 5 I believe with 6 or more starts). LSU loses 9 from '12, UF loses 7 and USC lost 6...

well, couldn't you just make your threat title read, "Which team has the best individual player on defense in '13"?

Here's a serious question: When is the last time Alabama didn't finish with the top defense in the SEC?

2007...Bama was 6th in the SEC that year, and LSU was #1 and 3rd in the nation. In 2008, Bama tied with UT for top total defense in the SEC. After that it's been all Bama...

2013 will be a big offensive year in the sec. Not a lot of great defenses like last year.

Alabama will be #1.
