Anybody else listening to 92.9 the game and think they went out of their way to hire UGA haters?

It is actually kinda sad at the lack of coverage Tech gets in print or radio. As the fall comes around, I bet we hear more about Clemson than Tech.

I tuned in around October and they were talking NBA preseason. This was Tennessee week if I recall correctly. Haven't tuned in since.

They just don't care about the college game. They're catoring to certain demographics but they're missing a huge segment of the population.

I think they decided to take all the things 680 doesn't talk about (that most Atl folks don't care about)and focus on them.
Meanwhile, if they can occasionaly troll the UGA fan base by saying Richt doesn't deserve a raise and is over paid, UGA isn't a top ten program, GA isn't known throughout the country as being high in athlete talent, UGA never finishes high in recruiting, UGA stays among leaders in Fulmer cup because players don't respect Richt, or UF is perceived as being a much better program. That was all in 1 hour yesterday from that dbag UF grad they hired.

It's like listening to the Two Live Stews again except without all the retarded dogs and poodles shite. It's urban sports radio with its pants hanging off its arse and mostly boxer shorts showing.
Listen for a while and you'll catch tons of racist innuendo too. They really like to make sure when a white person does something wrong or that they don't like, to point it out and make sure everyone knows a white person acted imprudent.
And the hate for UGA is over the top. And they're so ignorant about Atlanta sports in general. They don't get shite right and make horrible assumptions way too much. They don't like the Falcons or Braves either. GT gets virtually no coverage from them unless they are bashing CPJ.
I don't make it a point to listen to them. Pretty much boycotted them actually. But occasionally I'll listen just so I can text in and call them morons about something they got wrong and then it's back to 680 or 790.

Because of this topic, I listened for the first time today on my way from ATL to Athens.
They were shitting all over Tree for his DUI, saying he stole a helmet 1st, then failed a drug test, now a DUI, who would possibly want him on their team?
It wasn't even worth calling in about. Absolutely horrible.
The worst part is that I pick it up all the way to Athens, clearly, even into Winterville.
Too bad it sucks.

Great call on Max. I had forgotten about him, he had the coolest voice and knew all the history of football in the south. They don't make them like him anymore, now all we get are dorky blowhards like Colin Cowherd, clown arse buffoons like Ryan Stewart or completely irrelevant, clueless hacks like Skip Bayless.

Max & Jamie Newberg used to have a Friday recruiting show on 680 around '96-'97 that was a frickin hoot. They were wrong about everything but I loved to listen to them...

Do what? Max Howell was/is a complete moron...I used to call up his show and ask him about fictitious recruits and he would always come up with some type of bullshite answer...the guy was clueless on just about every sport especially on the pro side...and the guy was a complete con man in his personnel life...screwed a bunch of folks in Destin when he was in the fitness "business"

Nothing wrong with Destin...have a couple of properties down there and will be my place of retirement...but would maybe agree with ya if you said Panama CIty.

It must suck holding on to 1.2 million of debt for $600k in real estate. I know, you make some revenue renting, but after the property management fees, the HOA/COA, and the property tax raping, that's got to really suck, to be forced to retire in Destin because of shite real estate investments you made.
