... what do you think of their chances?

7 USC players invited to the Combine.

Justice Cunningham- TE
Devonte Holloman- LB
TJ Johnson- OL
Marcus Lattimore- RB
Ace Sanders- WO
DJ Swearinger- DB
Devin Taylor- DL

I think Cunningham and Holloman have the most room to move, but I don't know if any of these guys go before round 3. DJ and Devin have best 'steal' potential. With proper WR coaching (he didn't get it at USC, imo), Sanders could develop into a Welker-type WR. Marcus is a huge wildcard, but seems to be progressing rapidly in his rehab.

I think Lattimore will do really well for himself just by being there meeting scouts and talking to people. They've read the stories about him and know he's supposed to be a great guy. They'll love him when they get to talk with him. He's going to be a part of Gruden's qb camp too.

If all of those guys get drafted then that will be awesome, but I'm only expecting 6 of them to actually get drafted, but all 7 will be given a shot on a preseason/camp roster (barring injury.)

We'll also have some other guys make at least preseason/camp rosters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Byron, D. Jeffery, or Auguste get a camp invite at least.

Falcons need help in the secondary, as a first need, imo.

Uhhh Falcons need a DE, a TE, an LB, a RB and a DT before we even THINK a/b a DB.

Oh and based on his athleticism I think Devin Taylor could do the most moving at the combine. DE is a crowded field this year, though.

Whatever, I'm a Panther fan and hope you don't take the right guy anyway. Dunta Robinson had one of the worst %'s on 3rd down and for TDs in the NFL, though, and Falcons played pretty badly on pass coverage in the 2nd half during the playoffs. But yeah, I just looked at the mocks again and a bunch of them had you guys taking Eifert, the TE from ND. Saw one with Zach Ertz, TE from Stanford.

As for Devin, I think this combine is huge. He wasn't as effective this year as I expected. He's got at least these guys in front of him, but I think they'll all go by end of R2:

Barkevious Mingo
Dion Jordan
Bjoern Werner
Damontre Moore
Ezekiel Ansah
Sam Montgomery
Datone Jones
Cornelius Carradine

T. J. did pretty well in the drills, ran about middle of the pack in the 40 among the centers, and led in bench press reps (32).

Justice didn't bench (?), then ran a 4.91 and 4.85 in the 40, a ways off the leaders.

I saw where Ace ran a 4.53 on his first try. Anybody know what he ran the second turn?

It wasn't any faster as that was his posted time. I'm a little shocked, as I thought for sure he would be a sub 4.5. He really needed a fast time to compensate for his size. He measured in as 5'7".

Cunningham also had a slow 40 time, but he did really well in the other drills, I think he actually improved his stock.

TJ Johnson did well too and I think he helped his position as well.

It does suck, but Ace is very shifty and will make a great return man. His first move on a return has left many gunners looking very confused as he went by and usually through both of them. Hopefully he becomes a great utility man as he is no doubt a clutch 3rd down man.
