I played baseball my entire life up until my sophomore year in college. I wouldn't want to play on anything but dirt. There's just something about get dirty when you're out there. No other sport (save tennis at times) offers the opportunity to get dirty like that. Idk I think it's a great part of the game.

yea i'm trying to figure that one out too.

From the way it's written "like that" can only mean very slightly dirty.

Get red dirt on your uniform. Tennis has clay but I don't know if that really counts.

"Like that" meant actual dirt or clay, not grass or paint stains like in football.

I really enjoyed playing on Troy's all turf field as long as it wasn't over 90 degrees outside. Those turf fields will get so hot it'll melt the rubber and plastic on your cleats just standing on it.
