Right. Feel free to continue bashing Ray and praising Stans and scratching scabs of old wounds that need to heal. WTF does bitching about it at this point accomplish? Nothing. Move on -- either get on the bandwagon or get off. When the shite turns, don't try to jump on the bandwagon then and become #1 internet fan like many ALL around our fanbase have tried to do with Cohen after bashing him NONSTOP when we took our lumps in the beginning. That shite isn't going to fly -- and it shouldn't.
This is a quote from Aaron Fitt about MSU. About a program and coach that MANY here wanted fired a mere 24 months ago -- and MANY that supported our "alltime most successful coach" ABOVE the program itself didn't want hired in the first place.

5) General predictions for MSU's 2013 season?
Fitt: I strongly believe that this is an Omaha team, and I will not be surprised at all if the Bulldogs win the national championship. This is a very deep, talented, experienced, balanced club. There is a plenty of reason for fans in Starkville to be excited about this season.

Who all did we actually offer the job to?
Gregg Marshall from Wichita State
Miles from Colorado State
Bryce Drew from Valpo
Steve Proem from Murray State
Marshall was very interested during the phone call from Strick- then he called back about two hours later and said he was no longer interested- He obviously made some calls and talked to some people who told him what was going on.
We offered the job to Proem twice- couldnt convince him to say yes
You know what happened with Drew
I have no idea if we talked to the guy at Colorado St or not
Ray was about out 5th or 6th choice Bundy

They are all, all Ray's players and this is his team. You can not have it both ways.
How is wanting dumbasses to quit smoking "having it both ways?" What else can Ray do? We've got SEVEN scholarship players. He cuts out the two remaining dopeheads and we're at 5 and basically forfeit the rest of the season.
He's done a damn good job of cleaning up the shite in year 1 -- and sacrificed QUITE a few wins in order to do it.
Smith - Gone
Steele - Suspended for smoking. But he's a damn fine teammate. I don't see him halfassing it every game and talking back to the coach.
"One player like that"? bullshite. The whole team has been like that the past 5 years. It just became OBVIOUS the day Kirby left, who was the one preventing the inmates from running the asylum for YEARS.
Go to naming them. Because Moultrie and Hood were the only players on that entire team that gave a shite last year. Name me a HANDFUL of players that gave their arse for MSU the past 5 years. The ones that did? 2*s and 3*s. And Varnado -- who was a 4* that is OPEN in his criticism for the former staff's conditioning/weight training policies.
Stans built MSU? You haven't been a damn fan for very long. He inherited a team that had a Sweet 16 and Final 4 run in the previous 4 years.
He did NOT leave MSU a better program than he found it. That's the ultimate gauge of a coach.

Don't want to hear that stans could not control his team when ray is having a hard time doing the same.
Seriously dude? You're just being a dumbass now. It's Ray's fault all of Stands leftovers cant stop smoking dope?
It's funny none of the Freshmen have this problem. The new guys understand Ray and what his expectations are. It's the Standsbury tainted leftovers that are having trouble obeying the new sherriff's laws.

I have shown that stans left this team in good shape as far as talent
Are you talking about the guys who left because they didn't want to work or the guys who stayed and got kicked out because they were potheads?

Sword had his incident with a BB gun this past summer.
Bortchert also was suspended for the Maui Classic.

Coach Ray deserves three years. It's too early to judge.

exactly- you'd think at least Bundy would learn after being so wrong on Cohen and Stands

Borchert is not a Freshman- he is juco that played for another coach with another set of rules last year

Just for Bundy and Dumbhorse's info. Coming from Coach Akins himself, this is the first time he's been allowed to fully workout players his way since Richard Williams was head coach. So I call bullshite on saying Stans players were in shape.

100% fact

Ray has had to throw two players off the team and suspended two others for multiple games
exactly. Because that is what you have to do in order to control your team. Got damn, bundy.

There can be no argument about whether or not stans's players were in shape. It was obvious after watching for five minutes that they weren't.

Rumor is Roquez Johnson will be serving a suspension next.
Posted on 2/18/13 at 12:13 pm to 17theBears
I'm sure Darkhorse and Bundy will be here soon to tell us why it's Ray's fault.

If Bundy cared about this team he would go suit up and use his eligibility.
Posted on 2/18/13 at 2:00 pm to Eric Nies Grind Time
Bundy would kill himself before he suited up for Ray.
