What's the deal with this guy? Is he still going to be calling plays next season?

There are two other threads about him on this page. We'll have to see who is leaving after the new hire.

Gonzales made $400k at his last stop as a co-OC... Safe to say it's pretty unlikely for us to come up with the cheese to pull him as a simple position coach...

I think he's going to be OC/Special Teams coach -- and Mullen is going to be qb coach and start out calling plays, while easing Gonzo into the role...

Same. Keeping Koenning while replacing Sallach is a bandaid on a bullet wound...

I honestly think Gonzo is probably qualified at this point to be OC -- and at least get the opportunity at playcalling. He's been with Dan and Meyer for a decade...
