2014 4 star DE/LB former Florida St commit Denzel Ware has committed to Kentucky. He had offers from FSU, Florida and Alabama

I guess they promised his adopted brother a scholarship in football or baseball?

Hell of a good pickup if it sticks. Just amazing...

If he is going to UK to develop under Stoops, I can see it. Plus, he committed to FSU when Stoops was the DC. However, if he has team type aspirations for Championships, it's a terrible decision.

Kid has already been committed to 2 schools and he isn't even a SR yet. Think about that for a second.

With all that being said LOL @FSU for losing a commit to UK in football.

We stole commits from USC and Nebraska for the 2013 class.

I know. Hatcher wasn't going to SC in the end though.

I'm stoked but it's early obviously. At the very least it can start some momentum for that class. And it's not like you can't come to Kentucky and make it in the NFL as a defensive guy (see Corey Peters, Wesley Woodyard, Trevard Lindley, etc).

Or maybe he wants to play for a program where he can get pretty immediate PT and make a pretty significant impact while still getting drafted when it's all said and done?

Eh. It happens. But this creates some recruiting momentum for Stoops and Co. Gets the name out there.

As Cat already said, we flipped some kids from big programs with this most recent class. I believe both Hatcher (and Joker made a strong push for him at the end FWIW) and Montgomery had you all listed as well.

Great pickup. Look at what Vandy has done under Franklin. No reason the Cats can't do the same or better (obviously we have weaker academic standards than Vandy so that gives us an advantage.)

Our '14 class should be awesome. Hopefully we land QB Drew Barker.

Just don't draft a DT who has a bone on bone knee condition from Kentucky that you were tricked into drafting by the Patriots.

Yep. I said going to UK to develop under Stoops isn't a poor decision.

You're going to lose recruits when you lose six coaches...just the name of the game. FSU will be just fine at DE

Congrats Cats - long time 'till signing day though.

Remember, Nkemdici committed to the taterheads right about this time last year. Where did he sign?

Just saying, Stoops knows the deal but it'll be tough to keep him unless y'all show marked improvement this year - which you just might.

Good luck in all of them except one. :)

UK will never be in contention constantly like the bigger programs in the SEC, but that doesn't mean they wont have success.
