Why all the hate towards Mizzou?

What in the hell did we do to you SEC Fans, look we know we got to earn respect that's why I tend to hold back on the trash talk unless I'm talking to a Kansas fan. Look, like it or not we are here, we are a part of the family and we are here to stay.
The State of Missouri is not any less southern then the state of Kentucky both where border states, Both where a large part of the civil war and supported the Confederate Army. I mean hell the Mizzou Mascot the Tiger goes back to the Confederate Army when William Quantril led his confederate troop based in Columbia Missouri known as Quantrails Raiders, into Lawrence Kansas and Burnt it to the ground which is where the whole Border war Mizzou-Kansas Rivalry comes from. The University of Missouri named their teams the “Tigers.” This comes from the armed Confederate guards known as the Missouri Tigers. They protected Columbia during the Civil War.
The University of Kansas named their athletic teams the “Jayhawkers.” Jayhawker was a term used to describe the Kansas pro union militia.
Look it is going to take us time, The football team has to completely re adjust the only the type of players they recruit but also the areas of the county we recruit, It takes time to build new relationships in different parts of the country. It took Arkansas and SC a good 5 years before they where competitive. It also did not help that we lost half are O-Line this past season and had 2 true freshmen on the line, along with are qb being injured most of the season. I thought are D held up well for the most part.
Basketball, we only have ONE, ONE Player on this team that played here last year everyone else is new, most teams that lost that many players would be terrible but we are in the top 25 so stop hating.
We have a top 5 softball team, been to 4 of last 5 college world series,
Baseball has made the NCAA Regionals 8 out of the last 10 seasons.
Soccer and volleyball are typically top 25-30 programs.
Football has been to 8 bowl games in 10 years, has the 6th most wins in the country since 2005. The past 7 years they have had one 7 win season, three 8 win seasons, two 10 win seasons, and one 12 win season.
Basketball has been to 25 NCAA Tournaments, Only Arkansas and Kentucky have been to more in the SEC.

I don't understand the hate either. Missouri is no more southern than it is yankee, and I can name at least 30 states that are less southern than Missouri.

OP, its real simple.
It started with media day. MU was demanding respect unearned. TJ Moe makes some dumb comments and obvious didn't back them up. Then Richardson calls UGA old man football then gets their brains beaten in by UGA.
At the same time as all the talk from the team, the MU fans were talking about how they're going to shock the SEC and contend for the East. Then as we all know MU didn't even make a bowl and didn't take care of business in OOC play.
Now if MU didn't learn their lesson in football, they start the same trash talking (the fans) about how SEC basketball sucks and MU is going to win the SEC title. Now they're sitting pretty at tied in 5th.
Outside of all this there has been the talk about how MU wanted Big Ten, not SEC. Which, hate to break it to the MU fans, SEC >>>>> Big Ten.
Then there is always the crowd that thinks MU doesn't fit in the SEC. They're too far north and don't share in the culture.

1. You're a bunch of Yankees. Saying you're 'no less Southern than Kentucky' isn't a great argument. That place sucks too and basketball is their #1.

Wow 8 bowl games in 10 years,didnt know yall were that good. I went to numerous games 03-05 football is not nor will it be in the same league.Im thinking thats why you get alot of hate on here.I dated a girl on the soccer team she was nice I'll give you that.

Im saying where not any less southern then Kentucky, not comparing it to Alabama or Mississippi where they still run around in KKK shite, Look I live in the South born and raised, went to mizzou, all im sayin is it ant that different, However for the record the city of Atlanta is by far more Yankee then Boone county Missouri, I mean damn this city is being taken over by the northeast

You, unlike A&M, don't belong here. Culturally or athletically. We resent that you've been forced on us so Mike Slive can trick a bunch of cable systems into paying extra for the SEC Network.
