It appears as if UGA is in fact NO longer recruiting him anymore. This was the story after he denounced us as his leader, but then he sent a text to a UGA paysite guy claiming UGA never stopped recruiting him. Now the news appears to be that we are not signing or recruiting anybody else left in the 2013 class that has yet to sign and that we will hold the scholarship for next year.

Has anybody let this kid know we aren't recruiting him anymore or were the coaches so pissed about NSD that they forgot?

Either way, MSU or AU figures to get a pretty highly thought of JUCO prospect prior to his knee injury and grade concerns.

Just how bad are his grade concerns.

Also, how does it feel that no one from your top 3 on your wishlist is going to UGA

We told him we were going to stick with him after the ACL tear, which we did, then these grade rumors popped up and we backed off pretty heavily, so I'm assuming they're a legitimate concern.

Ban bet? Just kidding, we're still a full year away from NSD, but i'll probably feel the same way as I did this year when we didn't get a single guy on my wishlist.

As long as we continue to take 6 out of every 7 from AU like we have with the last two by a combined 76 points, I believe I'll manage to cope.

Hope his momma can do some good recruiting for us this weekend(she/much of his family lives in Moorhead, Ms)...

I understand that the grade concerns are what caused UGA to stop pursuing him, so if they are that bad, I suspect that it plays well for MSU...

Was the #1 overall recruit in JUCO prior to grade concerns and injury though... and we badly need insurance at the DT spot(all of our first 3 are uber-talented, but are far from sure things mentally/maturity-wise)...

Moorhead you say? I may have to make a trip home and a quick stop at Planters bank for a withdrawal.......

I would be ok with Auburn passing on him. We have 2 seniors and 3 juniors at defensive tackle right now and think we would be better suited saving the spot for an extra tackle next year.

Tend to agree. If he had the full 4 years, he is definitely a take. We could use another DT in this class. But considering how many juniors we have at the position, he would have to be a contributor quickly.

We are in no position to turn down any decent player that wants to come here. I don't care if we have 10 junior DTs on the roster, none of them have produced. We would be foolish not to take a chance here.

Sometimes you have to consider whether a guy might actually be a disruptive distraction to your team, no matter how bad you might need that particular height/weight on your roster sheet. Georgia really needs another 2 or 5 big DL guys, but when your grades are suffering in JUCO, and your ACL is torn, well, Coach Deeprig9 can handle one or the other, but not both.

Then he says we aren't his leader anymore.

It's better just to keep that spot open for another kid more deserving next year. Or the next.

I bet Garner can groom him into a magnificent player. He's done such a great job with UGA's defensive line over the years.

how does that relate to this kid? Grade concerns and an injury wouldn't be a disruptive distraction to the team.

And yes we definitely need this kid. I think if he was choosing right now he would pick us. He was very high on us after his last visit. Things could change when he visits MSU though.

I am sorry, but after this past recruiting cycle, if you still feel comfortable in knowing where any recruit will DEFINITELY go; then you need help changing your soft helmet.

well, he may have to redshirt due to his knee injury- so that excuse doesnt fly Auburn.

He is an NFL talent when healthy. We'll be damn glad to take him
