No it's not. It's Bama pride. The SEC can't really brag if it's one team winning them all.

bullshite. When non-SEC teams were dominating the sport we were on the outside looking in. That has changed.

Genro, all I have to say is You've spent too much time over here with the piggys. You're normally a decent dude, for a Bammer.

Ok

It seems like the responses from Bama fan's regarding their schedule have really gotten to you.

Better? Sorry for the message board cliche.

When this question was asked after last season I exclaimed a self-assured frick NO and I knew I had the mathematical odds to back me up.

Not gonna do it again... wouldn't be prudent.

a potential 4 of 5 National titles for Bama does not constitute parity in collegiate athletics.
Not Bama's fault. The other teams need to get on the ball to compete with Bama.

This reminds me of children's sports. All the whining that "my child's team didn't win". So they make it simple where everyone gets to win without working for it.

To me, this is what is bad for sports. Take away the competition if it's too hard for everyone else.

It's pretty much guaranteed this year.

Easy schedule, only 2 teams with a shot to beat us, get A&M after a buy week which is after a game vs. crappy VT, get LSU after buy week and they lost tons from last year, UGA sucks.

Bama is on cruise control straight to 3 Peat town!

All of the above is spot on. Alabama will go undefeated this year for three in a row and it will never be done again in anyone on this boards lifetime.

Not Quite as rough as:

Just think, Tennessee was a powerhouse not too long ago, and Bama has to play them every year - EVERY YEAR. Think about that. Back during Seinfeld's last season and when today's 15 year olds were not even born, Tennessee was damn good. And it's just a matter of time before they are good again. College football is cyclical you know. :inb4LSUwhiners:

Are you saying you lucked out by playing Tennessee in the SECCG in 2007?

2013 was the year Bama was supposed to make another run for the title anyway...w/ the schedule, usually, on odd years being favorable...LSU at home.

2012 was supposed to be the "rebuilding year" for Bama. So the fact that they won it all in a supposed rebuilding year was just icing on the cake for Bama fans and speaks to the level that Bama is right now, and to Saban's coaching ability to replace such a heralded defense in '11 and STILL win the SEC/National Titles.

Long story short, it was more likely Bama would win another national title this year (2013) than last year (2012).

if Bama backs into another title game (rematch, #2 and #3 teams losing at the last moment, etc) I'm gonna punch a baby.

will they ever win it outright like they did in 2009?

It would be very difficult to pull off another consecutive championship but hey they've got as good a chance as any other team eligible.

most teams "back into a national title."

How many times has the preseason #'s 1 & 2 teams made it to the end of the season at #'s 1 & 2???

Not very many.

So by your definition. If a team doesn't start the preseason #1 or #2, then they "backed into a national title."
Because the team that replaces them will have had to have the teams ahead of them lose.

Stupid.

I agree with this.

I guess the best way to put it is it makes CFB uninteresting.

"Who won the NC this year?" Bama.

Oh Ok. Meh.

If you're a Bama fan, of course it's awesome.

let's be honest. that rematch without winning your division was a fricking highway robbery.

Oregon and KSU dropped their game at the last moment. let's be honest, Bama was lucky as hell and you know it
