SEC Recruiting and the future of other conferences (SEC fap thread)

The SEC recruiting haul yesterday had to be incredibly disheartening to the rest of the country. There were only a couple of programs in the entire country outside the SEC that were able to keep pace. It's clear that the gap between the SEC and the rest of country is getting bigger not smaller.
So, given that we go to a 4 team playoff in 2014, and it seems a given that 1 if not 2 SEC teams will make into the playoff to dominate it, the best chance for the rest of the country to break the SEC streak is this year, the last of the BCS 1 versus 2 game - assuming the SEC knocks itself out of contention.
If the streak isn't broken this year, how long will it go? 10 years? 15 years? Will a team like Ohio State (who seems to be one of the only that are keeping pace in recruiting) be able to beat the SEC in the playoff any time soon?

It isnt just recruiting, it's the mentality.
A&M routinely lost to SEC teams, even ones less talented than us, because we didnt face other SEC teams every week. Look what happened in the CB, OU is just as if not more talented than us and had beaten us 8 of our last 10 meetings. All we did was beat them by 4 TDs. No way that happens if we were still in the Big XII.
OSU can recruit as well as they want, they arent hardened by the Big 10.

Ohio State is the only team who'll compete next year.

@jbook37: Urban Meyer tells 97.1 The Fan he will address the poor recruiting in the B1G directly with those coaches at the upcoming coaches meeting.
ETA: Also, maybe Germans, but according to Rivals, no 5 star recruits in the Big 12.

It's all cyclical. The SEC won't always dominate CFB. Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, USC, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, etc. will be back on top at some point.

This is funny, weird, and sad. So, basically, awesome.

Urban Meyer says he'll tell B1G coaches they need to recruit better. Would love to see Dantonio's face at that moment.

All of these teams are either too far North and therefore don't have access to the killer DL prospects down here, or they suffer from being the big fish in conference of far lesser teams.
Except Miami, they're screwed. They'll never be dominate again.

I totally agree with this. OU and UT people keep saying that their watered down conference w/ no title game makes for an easy path to the BCS Title game. The problem I see with that logic is that the SEC teams are always battle tested and dominate that game from the 2nd quarter on...
