In my opinion give him one more year.If we do not make the tournament than he needs to move on.

Agree that Grant needs another year, but in my mind Grant needs to show something more than just a tournament appearance next year. I think they should have a top 25 quality team next year given their talent level.

At this point all his coaching gives me is a good laugh, I've seen JV girls basketball coaches coach better than him

We both know that isn't going to happen, so why not go ahead and get it over with now?

I am glad my schedule this evening kept me from listening or watching. I would have lost my religion knowing we only score 37 points. I am a vote for firing his arse. If after 4 years this was the mediocrity we had in a fB program the coach would be gone. MS was gone after year 4.

Who does Grant (and Gottfried just for fun) best parallel?

Drew, Ears, Perkins, Curry, DuBose, Franchione or Shula

He has a couple of good ones coming in (one defensive, one offensive). Part of the big man recruiting problems has stemmed from the fact that the state of Alabama hasn't produce one high-major quality post player since Grant's tenure. Regardless he should have found someone in JUCO that could at least contribute.

I have doubts it will happen, but I think he at least should get a shot at it. Besides, Pearl won't be hired until the 2014 season and the only other coach I'd be interested in is Marshall, and I don't see Bama paying him what he wants.

It would have been a long shot since we underwent the coaching change right before he signed, but Grant didn't even try to recruit him IIRC.

You can't be serious...that was Gottfried's miss not Grant's. You can't really count the 2009 class.

I'm proud of you for the self control.

Just give it up and come back to posting...

You know you want to.

That's cool.

You can request to have you account suspended until you're ready to come back. You can even request a future date to be reactivated.

Posters do this all the time for school. Just email them or request it on the help board.

No need to completely erase everything.

Good luck

as for myself, i'm tired of his jekyll & hyde teams. if you really think about it that's all we have amounted to under him. i don't get paid the big bucks to make these hiring & firing decisions but i think they could do better....we deserve better!

During the beginning of his tenure, I was actually worried about whether we would be able to keep him...that some other basketball team would try and nab him from us...

Wish I was joking...
