How did Richt only get (2) of the top guys in his own state?

Wrong board, but consecutive SEC East titles don't carry the same weight that they used to.

We turned away a couple because we thought we had others in the bag 
Still, it's tough when you're in the same conference as Bama, TN, AU, Florida, LSU, and now SC and A&M. Bama, TN, AU, UF and SC are close enough that kids don't have to go to school in state as well.

I think this is why Auburn is still in the SECw. It wasn't just Bama that didn't want us to get a recruiting advantage. I'm pretty sure UGA and to a lesser extent Florida do not like the possibility of Auburn further expanding their reach into their respective talent base
