If LSU hires Cam Cameron as our OC, how would you rate that hire?

from 1-10. He had a falling out with Flacco and Harbaugh this year, but he is one of the more respected OC's in football.

I hope its true.

10 but i highly doubt its happening. les isn't going to get rid of krags or stud.

I also question the timing, if we were getting a new oc it seems to me if it was a huge name like cam cameron we would have done this right after the bowl game.

Lsu would easily have the best OC-DC combo in the country.

Cameron is a homerun hire is lsu can pull it off.

I think Cam was shopping the NFL and when that didn't happen this is kind of a fall back. If he does come it will be for 1-2 years tops, but it certainly can't hurt.

FWIW, Ray Rice only got 1 less carry per game under Cameron and he has succeeded nearly everywhere he has called plays. (top half of NFL every time at several teams and we aren't top half of college currently)

Also, he stood in Miles' wedding and they are extremely close. He also has a pro-style, run first, and play action downfield type of offense that Miles' loves.

It's pretty meh. He has been fired from his last two jobs and three of his last four. There's a reason he didn't get picked up when 1/3 of NFL teams were filling vacancies.

It'd be a good hire. But we all know it's Miles that handcuffs the offense.

Well to be fair, he has done that with Stud more than anyone. Crowton called plays before he started fricking up in 08 and at OSU Miles had loose reigns.

Cam Cameron only sounds like a good hire because of his NFL experience. But he's been fired from his last couple of jobs and, seeing as he can't find work in the league, he's not highly regarded in those parts. Also...Miles has his hands all over that offense and he doesn't seem to mind what the offense is doing.

So...I'd rate the hire as just any other hire at the OC position in the Les Miles era.

Not Krags, but I definitely see him setting Stud up with a job somewhere else.

Les doesn't fire people. He gets them hired elsewhere post-NSD.

2007 offense was the most prolific in LSUs history.

I have no problem with LSU being a stepping stone job for putting guys into the NFL or back in it. We just need les to improve on his hiring to follow up good hires with more good hires.

we could see an interesting shuffle if cam does come, maybe krags moves to more of an office/admin job because i dont see les firing a guy that is sick. then stud gets demoted back to just oline coach, which im not in favor of but better than the same ole crap on offense

Cam has put multiple fullbacks in the pro-bowl and loves the play-action deep ball strike. I think it would be a huge upgrade and Les would relinquish majority of play-calling because of his trust and friendship with Cam.
