Why not? SC already has a Heisman Winner- George Rogers. dumbass.

you probably need to relax some man. That wasn't even remotely a shot at SC. There is a big difference between a RB winning and a DE. Honestly, the idea that any defensive player will get the exposure Teo got playing at ND in their cinderella season with his faux disney story is silly.

It's not about skill. It's a hype award. It's why QBs and RBs always win it - they get the most touches and thus the most chances to put up stats or make ridiculous plays.

Money. Both of these guys are going to put up retarded numbers in 2013. I expect both to be finalists barring injuries.

If Bama is in the NC again next year I can see them giving it to AJ mcarron as a "lifetime achievement" award ala Ricky Williams.

1. Ricky didn't win any nattys.
2. Ricky didn't cry on the sidelines.

I would take the "field" for Heisman betting.
Who was the last preseason favorite, or even top 10 favorite, to win the Heisman that actually won it?

Reggie Bush?

I'm going to vegas in July and if the odds on Yeldon are anything from 1/10 up then I'm putting down 100 on him.

Gonna be hard to repeat. The voters dont want to give it to the same guy again. Aside from an unefeated berth in the national title game, with great stats to go with it, they'll find an excuse to give it to someone else. Being the best player in college football won't be enough this time.

If A&M is undefeated, with Manziel having dominated Alabama again, they will. Sports writers are egotists. They want to be a part of something unprecedented.
