No need for this type of reply. Your original statement implies that CJ is no longer commited to us. Therefore his question was a valid point. Next time learn to convey your questions/statements more clearly and you can avoid being asked questions such as this.

I'm looking for it to break tomorrow morning. I'm sure Mullen wanted to let everyone try an enjoy the Super Bowl.

I'll answer. I'm gonna go with Cox and Chapelle because of their immediate impact potential.

He apparently announced to his pastor and family at a banquet with our staff that he was playing at State on Saturday. I know everyone is nervous but sit tight he isn't going anywhere.

No, State fans are just paranoid. The kid has given no reason for us to think he isn't signing with us which is why he is still committed. He cancelled the in home with Freeze on Saturday to come to our basketball game, I'm not sure how much more proof he has to give you.

I have all of the proof I need from him and plenty of others. It's over man. Deal with it.

From him? I would love for you to show this "proof". The kid is committed to us and announced that AGAIN Saturday morning with his pastor and about 20 family members at a banquet! Jesus dude step off the ledge the sky is not falling. Deon Mix is back on board too according to recent news, pull your glasses back down and wait until Wednesday.

Well the ESPN guy had a long quote from Jones saying he was leaning toward Ole Miss and that he is making the decision for himself, not to please his family.

MIght as well accept it now, Jones is not likely to sign with us. Freeze has kicked Mullens arse because Mullen is a dick and comes across as a dick to recruits and that is the bottom line.

Can you link that? I haven't seen the quote anywhere? I think you may have the quote confused with Chris Jones, SR. That isn't a joke at all, I have seen nowhere that he stated he was leaning to Ole Miss only the opposite.

"The fact he visited Ole Miss TWICE over the weekend is big. He says he knows where he's going and he saw Ole Miss last. His parents went too, and that's big. I'd give Ole Miss the edge right now, but there are still plenty of hours for this thing to change." -Ed Aschoff

Are you talking about this? Because Ed Aschoff is an Ole Miss grad I'm fairly certain, and that is his opinion =/= quote.

Also its became pretty common knowledge that he was visiting a girl to party and hang out with. From what I've heard he didn't even have contact with the staff while he was there. This is coming from someone who hung out with him at the Sigma Nu house and he didn't get there until like 12:30 at night.

It is on the pay site so can't link it. Whereisomaha quoted it in the recruiting thread on Chris Jones.

quote:

“I love the coaching staff at Ole Miss,” Jones said. “Hugh Freeze is a great guy and more a mentor than a coach. I told him if he stopped coaching today he could go be a preacher. Ole Miss is a great school that can be a championship team under Hugh Freeze. They have a lot of big-time recruits coming in this year and the potential for the program is as good as anywhere. Ole Miss really showed me a lot, and I did not know they had this much to offer as a program, but really both schools are great.”Jones admits he has a feeling which way he is leaning.

“I think I have my mind made up,” Jones said. “I am excited about the people I will be surrounded with at that program. I have not told my parents, and I am not going to worry about making them or anyone unhappy. I am ready to make the best decision for me. Some people’s feelings might get hurt, but sometimes you cannot make everyone happy. A couple people might get angry on Facebook and Twitter too, but that is life. I will announce my decision on signing day, and I do not plan to tell either school before then."
