It depends. What was he asked to do?
If he was asked to be a playmaker and make tackles, then lol.
If he was asked to clog the middle and was a part of a dominant rush defense, then stats don't mean much. Individual Defensive stats in general are lopsided because great defenses aren't on the field as much as bad ones

Stats don't do a very good job of profiling defensive linemen, especially interior linemen. How many plays did he redirect? How many plays was he double-teamed? How often did he flush the QB without finishing the sack?
