Both of these games were incredible defensive battles. Here are the highlights to both of them.

LSU-AU '06: LINK

LSU-Bama '11 First Half: LINK

LSu-Bama '11 Second Half: LINK

My vote goes to Bama-LSU.

LSU-AU in 2006 IMO. The hardest hitting game I think I have ever seen. Also one of the most intense games I have ever seen.

Was that the year they crushed Cox, ending our chance at the NC?

No, we beat them. We lost to Ark ending what we thought were our title hopes then we lost to UGA and actually lost our title hopes and SECCG hopes. We won the Cotton Bowl though.

No. That's the year. We won, but Cox was hurt for the next 2-3 games.

I miss the days when we won football games

I also miss the days when we played Florida every year

The schedule just doesn't feel "SEC" without having to go through Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and LSU to get to Atlanta.

frick that Auburn '06 game. It was no doubt a fantastic game but as much as I know Auburn fans will hate to hear it, LSU was jobbed on numerous calls that were extremely significant given that the game was so defense dominated and field position and scoring opportunities were so hard to come by.

Cost LSU an opportunity at the national title that year. Would have loved another crack at UF in the SEC Championship game.

The LSU-Auburn games from '04-'07 were some of the greatest games in SEC history. It was no doubt the greatest rivalry during that time.

If either AU or LSU makes it to ATL, they're national champions for the year.

It's always someone else's fault when LSU loses
