The thread on the Rant about AJ leaving reminds me: How did our QB recruiting get so bad in the 11 and 12 cycles? I know 11 was a weak year for QBs but why didn't we take coker instead of ely?

Supposedly we were waaaaay too late to the table on Coker. His HS ran more of an option type offense, so he wasn't able to really showcase his ability. However, you would think with him coming from St. Paul's that we would have been on it though...

First real thing I've seen about him transferring.

Could be mistaken but I'd assume he counts toward the 85 and not the 25. If someone has access to the OM board ask them how it worked with Masoli

ncaa should ban negative recruiting. coaches should have to be wired to a recording device located at the ncaa whenever they make any contact with recruit so there is an official record of everything that is said to recurits

word around here is done deal to bama. TIFWIW but mobile is the smallest big city in Alabama. I work with people born and raised here and well connected to the sports community
