Marvin Shinn may be transferring. Im hearing Texas Tech might be a destination.

William Ming, Chris Bonds, Tana Patrick, Jonathan Atchinson are considering moving on to life outside of football. No final decisions have been made.

Ely is assumed to transfer after spring as well.

Didn't he log quite a bit of playing time in the ND game?

Hopefully that's not true. He was getting lots of playing time 2nd half of the season. I know we threw to him 3 times in the NCG.

Ya, he was playing a lot more after all the injuries. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall. He's just not athletic enough to see the field from here on out. Hope he sticks around, could be a guy who really contributes if a few people go down.

Not athletic enough? Did you ever see his high school film? He was playing a lot as a RS freshman, he's going to be a big contributor the next several years if he stays. Sounds like you're describing Danny Woodson Jr not Shinn.

The timing of this also makes me skeptical. Usually transfer news comes out right after the bowl game or after spring practice.

I always thought he would turn into a very good possesion WR for us.

Marvin Shinn Transfering?

That's kind of a shocker after his performance in the NC game.

Out of the WRs on the roster I would imagine Danny Woodson to be the one looking to transfer, not Shinn.

He's not. Too slow to get on the field now. Not strong enough or big enough to be a TE. He's Earl Alexander 2.0.

Do you not watch Alabama football games, Trey?

He's one of the guys that's been on my "transfer" radar for the past couple of months. But yeah, that would be a little bit shocking.

He played because of injuries to guys in front of him. Barring that happening again he isnt going to play.

We'll just agree to disagree. Not sure how you can write off a RS freshman who was playing a lot down the stretch of a national championship run.

Barring a big spring and summer he's probably gonna be the 5th or 6th WR on the depth chart seeing as how we bring everyone back.

He's at best 5th. We'll see how the freshman do.

I think you are both kind of right. He is definitely capable and was getting playing time, but he is also at best likely to be the 5th option next year with Cooper, Norwood, Bell, and White ahead of him. This is not to mention Black, Jones, and Jones.

I don't know if he will transfer, but he might think he could go somewhere and be a number 1 or 2 and get 60 catches rather than being a number 5. Who knows?

I think if he was here during the post Julio, pre Cooper era he would have played a lot.

I don't see Woodson Jr. transferring from UA considering this is where his father played.

Because guys got hurt in front of him. We aren't going to lose 3 guys like we did this year every year. That's if he doesn't get passed by guys that are younger than him.
