Paul Oliver wasnt a bust in college. he just screwed up by flunking out in the spring of his junior year and had to go. Solid CB in college.
Brandon Miller and Mudcat Elmore were far bigger 5* busts for us this past decade.

Brandon Miller and Richard Samuel are really the only two on this list that I would consider to be 5* "busts".
Probably so. But it just feels wrong to call Samuel a bust because he got jerked around his entire career and did make a few isolated HUGE plays (against UF in 2011 specifically, and I know he fielded an onside kick at some point and contributed in other ways).

Intercepting Jarrett Lee wasn't that rare.

Tray Blackmon played a lot of meaningful snaps for Auburn in 06 and 07. When he played he was a contributor and made a difference for a physical AU defense. He just had an injury bug and suspension problem Not really what I'd call a "bust".

Yep, he wins hands down for the biggest bust of the past decade. He had a lot of talent, ran with power, but he just couldn't stop smoking weed. Shame he wasted all of that.

Hard to necessarily agree with Russ Shep as a WR anyway... didn't exactly have a gun-slinging ace shooting at him.

Who? We haven't had that many five star recruits.
Dyer could be classified as a bust. Not for lack of skill or bad stats but for getting kicked off 2 different teams and being a dumbass of infinite proportions.

Robert Lane has to be up there!

I think we have different definitons of a bust.
Not displaying the talent/living up to high school hype=bust. fricking up and getting kicked off the team does not equal a bust. All 4 of those players were foolish during their shortened college careers.

I don't agree with Shep being a bust, the offense never had enough imagination to use him
Perriloux was def not a bust.

If he is a bust so was Terrance Toliver.
Was Toliver a 5star.
FTR I don't consider him a busy by any means.
