So the Falcons have 7 picks in the first 6 rounds. (Two in the 3rd) All the picks are near the end of the round. First pick is #30 and they have to go pass rushing DE.

So I am looking at a couple of guys right now.

Alex Okafor would be nice but may not be around.

Ezekiel Ansah is another nice option.

The combine will tell us much more about where these guys will rank among DE's but for now they are in the area that we pick.

There is also always the possiblity that TD identifies a guy he really wants and trades picks to move up and get him.

Who's the guy out of western Kentucky that played well against Bama?

Quanterus Smith.

Had 12.5 sacks in 9 games (3 vs. Alabama) before tearing an ACL in his left knee. He's projected to be 7th round-UDFA.

Chase Thomas OLB Stanford is an interesting prospect...projected 2 to 3rd round. Maybe Coons get em in the 2nd Rd.
His old DC is with the 49'ers and might snatch 'em up in Rd 1

Kid had a great career and is a local product (Walton HS)

I think he'll probably be taken in the early 2nd, unfortunately.

Wouldn't mind seeing us get Gio Bernard, Lattimore or Christine Michael.

I believe the Coon's also will get an extra 4th rd pick (Lofton compensation) and an extra 7th for losing Weems to the Bears

Regarding Konz I've seen where people think McClure is retiring and he moves to center.

Let's hope he improves...at times, that kid was getting shoved all over the field. He did seem to show some improvement towards the end of the season.

You are going to consider this crazy but I would grab Patterson out of UT t

As impressed as I am by CP, I'd rather see us go after one of those beast TEs from ND or Stanford

I think Ogletree would really help our D especially in pass coverage. But he won't be there at 30

If we move to a true 3-4, and Jenkins is there, that's the pick. Barrett Jones would be a good pick up if Baker and McClure are gone.

Margus Hunt - SMU DE

Looks like JJ Watt 2.0. 6'8 280, runs a 4.7 40. He's raw as hell, but an athletic freak. He started playing football in 2009. He has the world record in the discus throw. He only started playing football when they removed scholarships for track & field. He walked on, then went beastmode, they gave him a scholarship, now he's probably going in the second round to the NFL.

1/30 - RB Giovani Bernard, UNC
2/60 - DE Margus Hunt, SMU
3/92 - TE Joseph Fauria, UCLA
3/Comp(for Lofton) - ILB Jonathan Bostic, UF
4/124 - DT Brandon Moore - Texas
5/156 - CB Darius Slay - Miss St.
6/188 - OG Travis Bond - UNC

Wouldn't mind seeing Eddie Lacy or Dion Jordan (DE/Oregon) in the first round, and then depending on the first pick, Montee Ball (RB/Wisconsin) or Brandon Jenkins (DE/Florida State) in the second.

Or how about letting Grimes walk, then trade 1st and 4th round picks to NY for Darrelle Revis and then work in the draft from there?
