Does the Army fly any Soviet made stuff for training out if Rucker? On my hunting property outside of Headland we have a helicopter pad that the Army uses for flight school. I see the normal Apache/OH/shite hook traffic.

But twice in the past week I've seen what looks to be an Mi-8 flying over. Same general canopy and landing gear. Haven't got a real good look because of the tree tops.

Does Rucker have an aggressor unit there?

There may be a train-the-trainer course for Iraqi avaitors or something similar..

Okay. Maybe they just started using the auxiliary field nearby. First hunting season I've noticed them.

I've got a friend out there training right now, all I can say is good luck hunting. He said he thinks it's a Mi 26 used to train US trainers before heading to Iraq to instruct. Also some multi national guys come in for training too.
