Fournette, Willis, and Noil are done deals to LSU. Noil is Frank Wilson our (recruiting qt. and running backs) coach's nephew. The three kids are best friends. Cam Robinson is (LSU and Alabama) his dad played for the Saints and Chargers and Step father played for the Cardinals.

Also Ed Paris is originally from Louisiana and moved to Texas after Hurricane Katrina. He also is said to be an LSU lean.

Is Whitley just visiting to visit? Didn't we already tell Cameron Hampton we were done at LB?

Cam Hampton is an outside backer while Whitley is pure Mike. Also, Whitley is elite while Hampton is just very good. Even when you are done at a position from a need standpoint, you take kids like Whitley.

I would be shocked if Fournette signed with any team but LSU. We've been saving room for him for two years and he knows it. Will come in and play as a freshman alongside Jeremy Hill (what a 1-2 punch that will be!).

Glad to see we have a bunch of LSU locks to infiltrate the rest of the bunch that might really be considering A&M and sway them to LSU

Paris, Fournette, Noil, Willis...I won't say Robinson because we'll battle Bama for him...should be some good recruiting for LSU going on.

LF is a RB, Bama ALWAYS has a shot trust me...if Burns left for FSU then I'd say yeah LSU lock, but no dice as long as he's on Bama's staff

& GW is Landon Collins' step brother, you know this right

Don't think we're expecting many commits but this is pretty much our first tier offers with a few unable to make it in. Any commits this weekend are going to make our coaches ecstatic.

Not sure if we're going to push any hard for commits though. I could see it with the safeties simply because there are so many. You can basically tell them the Cam Hampton story and say we're going to take 2 (or 3, I'm not sure) and the first two get the spots. I could see us taking DSG and Hall this weekend and then shoot for a guy like Tony Brown to finish the DB class.

I'll give you this, but there is a lot of smoke that LF has been telling teammates and those close to him that he will be a tiger.

quote:

GW is Landon Collins' step brother,

And literally takes every article and interview that comes his way as an opportunity to omit Alabama from his top choices, dropping gems such as this

quote:

Justin has made no secret of her criticisms of Alabama. She claims Nick Saban never bothered to discuss curriculum, disrespected her and Landon's father, and that he made playing time commitments to Landon that he couldn't keep. (Saban declined to comment for this story.) While Alabama has extended an offer to Willis, the Tide aren't high on his list. "I just don't feel comfortable there," he said.

Isn't Bama's junior day also this weekend? If so, I'm glad LF and GW went to A&M instead.

well, I only say that because we apparently did on Hampton and he was ready to pull the trigger and then wanted to think about it. Then he called back a few months later to say he was ready (and obviously got told we were full). It seems at some of the positions that are well stocked, we are going to do so, which is why I think safety. I could see it at corner too but no corners are coming in other than the two we already have. I think we are going to take 2 S and 3 CBs knowing Harvey could be a safety as well.

I think it is a good possibility Whitley commits this weekend, as he is bringing his family with him. Also, I could definitely see one of the OL as well. Interested to see how the weekend shakes out.

Anyone realize that if A&M pulls Brown they will have #'s 1-3 on the LSR for next year - major reshuffling will be needed to change that by Ketch. Brown won't be there this weekend though...

Also, Davian Hall is actually going to Baylor this weekend, but KD Cannon is confirmed! Quite a few LA players, so it will be interesting to see if they are serious or not. Long drive on your own dime if not interested at all...
