@wareagleextra: ESPN announces former Auburn coach Gene Chizik will be special guest analyst for ESPNU Signing Day coverage.

That could be awkward. I hope he interviews a kid that signs with Auburn.

I just hope he has some great practices leading up to the program.

Will he still be using coach speak? He might be pretty boring since he doesn't like to actually say anything.

Well, $30,000 (I have no clue if that's close to the real number) we don't have to pay him

It's funny, every time I see Chizik's name now, I don't think of 2010, I think of him saying "We had a great week of practice."

I hope he interviews a kid who de-committed after he left.

frick Chizik. He has enough money. I hope he doesn't get a job. He's the reason we went from potentially having five 5 star recruits to potentially having 0 due to his complete clusterfrick coaching job.

Why wouldn't you hope he gets a job? It will lessen the amount AU has to pay him.. Not to mention, I don't fault the guy for taking the AU job. He was sucking it up in Iowa and was offered a raise..

This whole debacle rests solely on Jacobs and crew. Chizik was just trying to advance his career.. He just landed in over his head.

He'd make a good athletic director though, he seems to have a nack for hiring competence (this year aside of course) - and in an AD setting, his ego wouldn't get in the way of his job title. The better the coach, the more secure his job would be.
