How in the world would UGA be behind LSU. Not even being a homer here

Agreed. But the slight gap is between the QB's. Hill, Blue, Hilliard and Copeland will be as good as any set of backs in the country.

It's more than a slight gap at qb

Are A&M fans incapable of being objective? Yeldon/Gurley have more yards, TDs, YPC. Marshall, while not putting up quite as many yards as Malena, has better YPC and just as many TDs.

This doesn't take into account that Malena's services will be supplemented by two five star RBs--ranked 2 and 3 nationally in their respective classes.

UGA has a great backfield--no question. But the undisputed best player is at A&M. He's flanked by three bona fide studs, and they all get to run behind a veteran OL chalked full of NFL talent.

UGA might well have a better backfield, but there's no objective measure that definitively supports that.

What the Frick does that mean? Yeah he played in many games where we were being blown out therefore more passes, therefore less runs, therefore less yards for mason. He got 1000 yards while having only three games where he carried the ball 20 times with a max of 22 on the season. He also had three games where he got less than 10 carries. All the while he'd averaged 5.9 ypc behind an awful offensive line. That's pretty damn impressive if you'd take a minute before u make a proposterous comment like this with a very irrelevant reason behind it. Tre is definetly a 1000 yard rusher and has the potential to be much more than a 1000 yard rusher. Shut the Frick up and take a seat.

Tre is an average back and everyone except Auburn fans know it. He benefited from playing against cupcakes and backups (or starters that had a big lead). He only gained 1,000 yards because Chizik felt as his last duty as HC at Auburn he would run up the middle with 10 seconds on the clock against Bama's 5th string defense. "Shut the frick up and take a seat."

SEC just don't know the guys we had riding the bench due to transfer. If we didn't run the spread, I'd agree that it is one of the top backfields in the country.

Too bad we will rotate 4 guys and none of them will have crazy stats. We will also throw it half the time so...

Obviously, Mett would need to be much more consistent for LSU's backfield to be considered. But you're also looking at Hill, Blue, Hilliard, and Copeland. That's pretty formidable in and of itself.

If Mett becomes more consistent, especially on the road, watch out.

I have no problem with giving Manziel props for his rushing stats, but can't we all at least agree that a QB running the ball is far different from a RB running the ball due to the block set ups. With the QB running, the O gains another blocker at initial contact. This is very rarely the case with a RB rushing. Just a thought.

I have no idea what will happen next year, but hopefully UGA's OL will continue to improve and be helped by greater depth. I am also really looking forward to the WR corps coming back fully healthy I hope. Still can't believe UGA was down to 1 starting WR by about 5 minutes into the bowl game.

Hill had over 100 yards against bama as a true freshmen. I like our chances.
