I hate the guy...but he's a great coach....and they just gotta play "one or two" tough games a year in the Big 10...So they'll be fresh.

The Big Ten's primary recruiting grounds contains ONE of the top ten recruiting states (two if you count Pennsylvania, which is only recruited heavily by three of their programs).

The SEC heavily recruits from five of the top ten recruiting states.

The Big Ten can't compete with that. We have better athletes. Hell, the Big XII and ACC have better athletes.

It depends on who he goes up against. I like his chances against Miles and Richt but not so much against Saban.

We've already seen how OSU fairs against the SEC in title games, and Meyer has a lot less talent than the 2006 OSU team had.

He opted out. He's hoping to get into a non SEC title match IMO.

He's a great coach in a shite conference, which is why he'll walk his way into the big show; the boys and men will be separated afterwards.

True but Meyer's a great coach. The only teams who have given him trouble over the years are the ones with great defensive-minded head coaches like Tuberville and Saban. I like his chances of out-coaching any coach in the SEC in a NCG setting besides Saban.

Give him a few years, but a current Ohio St team wouldn't play any better than ND did against an elite SEC team.

Meyer's been broken. He ran away from competition. He will never win another championship.

That's probably what a lot of K-State fans thought this year. Right now Ohio State has to play Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin every year. Those aren't exactly gimme games. Plus, I think any undefeated Big 10 team would have a tough case to make. Although OSU has two good schools in it's division it also has Purdue, Indiana and Illinois. So Meyer's kind of in a lose/lose scenario. Going undefeated is tough but still not impressive enough and losing one game basically dooms you.

Honestly, if anybody's going to end the SEC's undefeated streak soon I think it'll be David Shaw.

The last time Urban ended up playing an SEC team on the big stage, didn't he end up in the hospital with heart problems and quitting his post?
