FWIW, we've never had a recruit "officially" commit to MSU on an OV prior to his meeting with Dan Mullen on Sunday morning. That's where we usually find out something...

twitter blew up saying he committed... he messaged Rosebowl saying he was committed... then he later took it back and said he wasn't(allegedly).
No recruit has ever committed to us on a Saturday of their OV -- so basically, mixed signals.
We will know alot more after he meets with Mullen in the AM

So it sounds like this is the fault of the recruit. We have players saying he is a dawg. Based on what I have found, his host tweeted that too.
It seems that He also sent a text to Scout guy saying he is committed.
Next I see where the issue is he had not met with Mullen and everybody got excited leaking out the word.
About right???

Rosebowl is Steve Robertson, the MSU Scout guy...
Got the name for famously predicting us to go to the Rosebowl in 2001 in the longest, most ridiculously optimistic article you've ever read. Of course, this was the same time that the wheels fell off under Jackie...

No. He always does this shite. He will get wind of the fact a recruit has comitted and they will ask him not to report, because the recruit wants to announce on signing day. Steve doesn't give a shite though. He would much rather acted like that he scooped someone than respect kids wishes.

He did this to both Richie Brown and Beniquez Brown last year. Did it to Beniquez more than once, if memory serves me correctly...

Our coaches need to realize this and tell recruits to keep silent their commitment if they wish to wait until signing day.
