I guess it has been mentioned before on this board but I think if TAM had stayed one more year in the Big 12 they would have hoisted the crystal ball this year.

I think they would have gone undefeated, and since they beat Bama in the regular season, they might have beaten them in the post season.

So, flame away at my being two months late with this post, but it just occurred to me. I'm also a lot older than most of you as well. Call it delayed reality.

That's assuming that Bama goes undefeated in this alternate reality

Well, yeah, it does assume that the rest of the season played out the same.

That is one hell of an assumption.

Like the people that say "if OSU was bowl eligible they would be in the BCS" Well, if they were bowl eligible Urban Meyer wouldn't have been their coach, because they wouldn't have fired the vest.

Would Sumlin have come to aTm if they were staying in the big 12? You have no idea. This is pointless discussion.

I like Bama's chances with a month off to stop Manziel over playing them the week after the emotional LSU game.

With that said, an undefeated Bama probably would have met Notre Dame over the Aggies

I disagree....big 12 throws a lot and tamu's lass defense was bad....they would hAve slipped a couple....

Good point, I think he was saying leaving other things constant

Wrong. They would have finished #3 behind Bama and ND.

I am confused on why the hell a thread about Texas A&M beat Alabama for the National Championship is on the Tiger Rant.

The only crack in the OP is would A&M have prepared the same not being in the SEC? I feel like they worked their butts off getting ready for the long grind of the SEC on both offense and defense and who would have thought Johnny Football would have been as impactful as it was? No one predicted the season A&M had. It was the perfect "Cam Newton/Auburn" type of season. Let's see how any team does when half your starters go down

Its January, Its slow and I thought it was worthy of discussion. If you find it unworthy, then sorry, you don't have to participate. It's about the SEC so it does pertain to LSU....

Sorry to let you down with the thread....I know you have so much more important things you could be doing.

Just because it is SEC related does not mean that it is about LSU.

Meh. The presence of Sumlin is irrelevant. He's an average/below average football coach. Manziel is what matters and he would have been there.

What he's done in his career suggests mediocre. Sorry. Never has truly recruited and developed a QB worth a shite either.

Are you describing Kevin Sumlin or Mike Anderson?
