I liked the start of the second half where Mick gave up two 3-point plays and then didn't box out on an offensive rebound which resulted in a 3-pointer. 9 straight points just for being soft.

I can't think of a dominating inside force since maybe Derek Hood and he was undersized and roamed to wing a lot. Heath recruited a lot of height but I couldn't call them dominating or bruisers. Just seems like there's some basic center fundamentals he's not improving on. Gotta seal the defender off, make your presence known and finish with aggression and authority.

Inside play has eroded across almost all levels of basketball imo.

Go teach it to these players, because I see no evidence they are being taught it now. Haydar is the only one who looks inside on a consistent basis.

This perimeter/make your own play garbage may get us to the NIT.

We lose Young and Powell after this season so we probably take a step back next year even with the good freshmen (both of them) coming in.

I agree, the game overall has deteriorated from a teamwork and post position standpoint but I still see some teams working it inside in college basketball.

Are we sure BJ leaves after this year? Right now I'd think he's a low first round pick and he's still 160 lbs. His PG play is not exactly solid, and I imagine he'd need to sell himself like that. Combo guards aren't in vogue like they were among NBA GMs a few years ago. I think there is a real possibility he goes to the second round, but maybe this year is his best chance to go in the first? I don't know, maybe some prognosticators could weigh in.

I don't see Mickelson playing much at all next year with Portis and Kingsley coming to town.

And as far as BJ, HE AIN'T READY to go pro. He disappears for long stretches when his shot isn't falling and doesn't really make a ton of hustle plays to make up for off shooting nights. He's got game and could potentially play in the league but he's not an early exit guy in my opinion.
