It's the Arkansas way. Arkansas is one of 2 SEC teams that have never beat LSU in BR in the Trent Johnson era.
Arkansas hasn't won in Starkville since last century.

It's a mix of reasons, but ultimately the things that have handicapped Anderson teams on the road are the things that kill all road teams-- no true PG, and weak post defense.
Madden is perhaps the worst majorly hyped recruit that Arkansas has brought in, ever. He's got a long gangly body and form that looks like it has the innate potential to shine, but his game never gets any more refined; his understanding of spacing and passing lanes on the offensive end is incredibly poor, which leads to a lot of blown starts to offensive sets, then having to reset. It completely destroys halfcourt offense.
Unfortunately, the guy with the best handle on offensive concepts is BJ Young-- but he does tend to have ball-stopping streaks, where he puts the ball in his hands and tells everyone else to GTHO of the way. You can't sustain offense with a ball-stopper playing the distributor's role.
When it comes to post D, Mickelson is a fine shot blocker, but will play himself out of rebounding position, and because he likes to move, is easy to bring away from the basket. He's really a face up 4 playing the 5, and does not have that 5 mentality. There is no depth, and there isn't a lot of physical strength to rely upon to play physical interior basketball.
Post defense can get better; rebounding can get better; the unwillingness by SG/SF to take open 3PA (other than Young) has exacerbated the spacing issues.
You have to be able to grind out possessions on the road; you can't go 5 or 6 possessions getting nothing on one end, and getting dominated on the other.
